One week from today I will be on a plane traveling to Rome, Italy. I’ve been planning this trip for an entire semester, but it’s just now beginning to seem real. When I was in the seventh grade my family went on a cruise in the Bahamas, so technically I’ve traveled outside of America, but this will be my first real exposure to different cultures and countries. I couldn’t be more ready. My whole life I’ve heard my mother’s stories of the time she spent in Europe, how incredible it is, how she would love to go back again. In one week I get to go experience that same beauty, the history, and the excitement for myself.
